AGM
Here are Sarah's wonderful AGM minutes:
FC – the first anniversary. AGM, MB 17/08/07
Present:
Karen Cornish, Simon Cornish, Nick Headland, Sarah Headland, Bishop Headland (in the garden somewhere).
Apologies: Max Cornish, Tamsin Cornish
Matters arising:
1) SC’s socks. They said Friday, and it was indeed Friday.
2) NH reported stubbing his toe. He explained he was pruning the roses, skipping round the garden in his socks, and walked straight into the metal thing which houses the rotary dryer. There was blood everywhere. SH could not find any plasters, and NH could not walk so he drove to the Co-Op. Everyone said SH was an evil bitch for not going. Unbelievable!
3) SC wanted his comments struck from the record, and then there was a heated discussion.
4) Simon slipped up
5) It was decided that members would delete links to the FC blog on their own blogs so SC could be as offensive as he liked.
6) SC enjoyed the BBQ
7) NH remembered SC remembering the BBQ
8) KC said she had enjoyed the FC meals, especially NH’s curries.
9) SC took advantage of point number 5
10) KC put SC in his place. SC sulked.
11) To the matter in hand, SH said her top FC moment was Guilfest, where the seed for FC was planted. There was the B&B, flapjacks and tea in the garden, a huge breakfast, having the whole B&B to ourselves, NH’s nasal douche, The Wonder Stuff, waking up early, sachets and fizz.
12) KC voted for the end of FC. No-one else agreed.
13) KC remembered the shit hole that was West Stow Anglo-Saxon village. Members chose one word to sum it up. KC and NH chose “pigless!; SH chose “buuuuuullllllll shiiiiit”, and SC chose “disappointing”. There were huts with smoky fires. SC changed his word to “hutty”. SH remembered sending the email and KC remembered the roars “trot on”. NH said he found out they built a hut only to burn it down. Twats.
14) Halloween: SC went as Michael Jackson, KC went as the Queen of the Pumpkin ‘People’, SH was Sarah McWitch and NH was a maniac with a machete.
15) New Year’s Eve: come as your favourite film or TV character. NH was Simon Pegg as Shaun of the Dead, and his food-colouring blood stains got pinker; SH was Tinker Bell; KC was Candice Marie and SC was The Hoff. We played games, including NH’s chocolate game.
16) Great Great Yarmouth: we went on the snails, visited the House of Wax, and had lots of fun in the hall of mirrors.
17) Bury St Edmunds: KC’s birthday road trip. We went to Harriets tea room, and suggested picketing West Stow [ref:13]. We said a repeat visit should take place, and SC asked to go into the smallest pub. SH confused bogging with boggling. Everyone laughed.
18) Easter egg hunt: SC and NH were predictable and left theirs in a pile on the lawn. No-one was impressed.
19) In my notes, I have Xmas decs, money in. But I can’t remember what this refers to. Anyone?
20) Harry Potter night. The night FC became public. NH was sad when we left Borders. KC and SC went to Azda, and it was horrible as the queued next to the knickers and KC was in her George cardigan. A pervy man took a photo of SH’s breasts. We left before midnight. Headland’s postman arrived at 8.30 and said NH has been up all night. We dressed up – KC was Prof McGonagall, SC was a Dementor, NH was a Death Eater and SH was the one in the toilet.
21) Colchester Zoo: three quarters of FC were ill. SC enjoyed eating food and seeing NH communicate with the orang-utan.
22) Meeting and adopting Tessa and gobbling to her and her friends. KC liked the donkeys and goats. We are seeing her again in October.
23) Boat trip: for boys’ joint birthday. It was an FC boat and there was also an ice cream boat. The boys did the flag parade, and blew our cover. NH crashed rather spectacularly whilst putting on a life jacket. Oh the irony. We had a pub lunch – eventually. The pikey kids kept kicking balls. Max enjoyed it and SH liked it when he clambered over KC for a cuddle with SH. SC got his chopper out. There was a water-themed playlist.
24) SC did a wheel spin that graphically depicted a ‘later losers’ message to the bastards at West Stow.
25) KC said there were six green lights, one red and a flashing green light on SH’s washing machine. KC has one red one.
26) Nuclear bunker: post Guilfest. It was cool but scary. There were dummies and SH was scared. What a wuss! It was eerie, and the pink glass with a sticker was rubbish.
27) SC showed off his gardening injuries, and KC said he had one sore buttock.
28) SC said is favourite FC gore film was Evil Dead and NH’s was Dawn of the Dead. They both liked Naked Dead, and they didn’t watch anything rubbish.
29) Hunstanton: for SH’s birthday. We had chips, went to the Sealife sanctuary, killed an octopus, gave and received presents, frolicked on the beach, had tasty curry and played Sing Star.
30) That concludes our reminiscing. Future events include SH’s birthday road trip to Snettisham Park and Castle Acre and visiting Tessa at Hillside. Also – although not yet discussed – Halloween and New Year’s Eve theme evenings.
Date and time of next meeting: 24/08/07, MB - unofficial meeting with Will, nerd-theme. We forgot to do diaries.

hello, thank you Karen for blogging this, an d thank you SaRAH for minuting this and typing it all up.
It was a very funny read, and I enjoyed very much reminiscing about reminiscing about a year of Film Club. I especially enjoy remembering me remembering Simes remembering the barbecue.
Some bits made me laugh out loud!

Hehehe. It was all fun.
I remembered some other things that I forgot to remember at the time. Who remembers Borat masks! And Karen's dog quiz! And show and tell! And baby photo evening! We just remembered remembering the outings. I also remember doing Whitney and Tina Sing Star so loud the boys complained and windows blew out.
